On your marks…

Another Bendigo Basketball Association domestic season is about to begin! Good luck to all teams taking part in the 2017/18 Summer Season!

The coming season will see the Beavers Basketball Club fielding it’s strongest contingent of teams in some time! We are all highly anticipating another summer full of hard fought victories, character building losses and spirited, Team Red basketball!

Remember, during the grading period your team’s games and time slots may change. There are also outside stadiums in use on some nights. Keep track of your team fixture here.

Coaches, Assistants and Managers please also remember that it is now a requirement to have a current working with children card and also to have your details registered with the club here. If you haven’t done this yet…please do it now!

We look forward to seeing Team Red back on court and getting stuck into another season of domestic basketball!

Go Beavers!!

The countdown is on!

There’s a little over a week to get your team entered into the Bendigo Basketball Association summer 2017/18 competition…time to get cracking! Entries close on Friday September 22 at 5pm. Click here to enter your team!

Coaches, team managers and anyone actively associated with a Beavers team also need to make sure they are registering their details with us (if you haven’t already done so) Click here and follow the prompts to add your details to our database.

This is part of our ongoing compliance to the newly formed Child Safety Policy, and the consequences of not maintaining a record of all persons involved in our teams, including their working with children card details, can be severe.

And finally, please remember that all athletes playing in the BBA Summer season will need to renew their insurance. Players cannot take the court without current insurance. BVC player insurance is $48 and is collected via credit card or direct debit as part of the process of joining your team. You can also pay at the Bendigo Stadium Sports Office for a total of $55. If you need any further information on this, contact the sports office.

Summer starts soon!

Winter finals are almost done! Once again, Team Red is well represented and enjoying plenty of finals success! Well done to all Beavers teams who are taking part!

After a short break, a new season will begin at the start of the fourth school term in early October. Don’t forget, age groups have changed for the Summer 2017/18 season, be sure to check that you are registering your team and/or players in the right age division here.

Any players that are looking to join a team, please email us at play@beaversbasketball.com.au

2017. Here we come!

A new year has arrived! Happy New Year to all Team Red players, coaches, parents and supporters! We all look forward to a fantastic year of basketball, kicking off with the second half of the domestic Summer competition at the end of January. Be sure to check the fixture here to see when you’re next on court.

Before the summer competition continues, however, our attention turns to the Annual Bendigo Junior Classic tournament held over the Australia Day long weekend (Thurs 26, Fri 27 & Sat 28 Jan – with a wheelchair tournament on Sun 29). Many of our Beavers players will be on show, representing Bendigo, so be sure to get along to a game to cheer them on!

Beavers Basketball Club will again be managing the Girton Stadium courts over the 3 days. A major fundraising opportunity for our club, if you are able to spare a few hours to help out, please email Peter Allan and let him know when you are available.

See you back on court for another big year of Beavers Basketball!
