Fund-raisin’ the roof!

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2020!

As the Bendigo Basketball machine begins to whirr back into action, a few important fundraising dates are approaching for Team Red. Read on below…

Bendigo Junior Classic – January 25, 26 & 27

The Australia Day long weekend sees the Bendigo Junior Classic return for 2020. The Beavers will again be managing the stadium at Girton. A very simple task, ensuring games run to schedule and also selling drinks at the entrance to the stadium.

Bunnings Warehouse – February 9

One of our major fundraising efforts for the year, the Bunnings BBQ has proven to be a great day to meet other Team Red members, sell a few snags and make some money to help keep our club going. This year we’ll be at Kangaroo Flat Bunnings on Sunday Feb 9 (same weekend as the Wodonga Basketball tournament – so new faces may be needed!)

If you are available to help out at either of these important fund raising events, please email Peter here

Club Dinner – Next Tuesday!

There’s only one week to go! Next Tuesday, November 19 the Beavers Basketball Club annual fundraising dinner is on at Bendigo Stadium Bistro! Tipping off from 6.30pm, this is a great opportunity to come together and celebrate another successful year of Beavers basketball.

It would be great to see as many Team Red members as possible. Your attendance also helps our club, with funds raised helping to pay for training courts and other club running costs.

Bunnings BBQ

It’s that time again!

Beavers Basketball Club will be picking up the tongs at Bunnings Warehouse, Kangaroo Flat on Sunday November 10. One of our major club fundraisers, the profits from the BBQ contribute greatly to our ongoing running costs and assist in paying for training courts.

This is also a great opportunity to meet other members of Team Red while making a valuable contribution to the club. If you have a couple of hours to spare and are able to help out, please call or email Peter Allan  to let him know!

Summer season around the corner!

The Bendigo Basketball Association Winter domestic season is heading into finals. Good luck to all teams competing – especially those in red! Keep up to date with the finals fixtures here and get along to show your support.

As one season ends, another is about to begin, the 2019/20 Summer Season entries are now open. Time for Team Red to assemble! Join us on Wednesday August 28 from 7pm in the Bendigo Stadium Green Room to begin working through team entries for the new season.

The change from Winter to Summer season means a shift in age groups. As such, some teams may be looking for additional players and some players may also be looking for a new team! If you or your child falls into either category, come along so you don’t miss out!
